For those who still hate Christmas

Last year around this time I ran a post in which I countered a friend's blog call to nominate the best Christmas movie ever by offering a list of 10 movies For Those Who Hate Christmas. Still not content to keep my Scrooging around to myself, I'm blogging on Novel Spaces today where I offer more twisted advice for those who're thinking of jumping the Yuletide ship right - about - now.

T'is the season - to run away!

There is far too much 'togetherness' at Christmas. This is a dangerous state of affairs - especially if the sherry's flowing.

And it better be.

Fia, lol! I'm a fan of flowing sherry myself.

My holiday problem? I can't stand the food traditionally served for the holidays. I don't like pie, turkey, ham, fried chicken, mac and cheese, stuffing... I also can't stand the smell of 'em. Makes me sick.

Soooo, I avoid the holiday family gathering thing. If I get stuck going, I try to do it after everyone eats.

Oh, and I don't drink either so I have to put up with everyone sober.

Hmmm... maybe I should start drinking! LOL!

My husband HATES Christmas with a vengeance. Difficult to get festive then!

Phyllis, you don't like turkey and pie? May I have yours, please? Okay, that's enough about my girth!

You don't drink either? How on earth do you get through these things? Actually, I've been known to escape to a quiet bathroom with a book for awhile. Or, when it becomes too much, I go and hang out with the children who are usually much more fun.
