Liane Spicer was born on the Caribbean island of Trinidad where she taught high school for twenty-two years. In 2000 she left teaching and has led a peripatetic existence since, living in several countries and working as assistant editor of a newspaper, human resource manager, company administrator, freelance editor and reviewer. Her book reviews have appeared in print and online newspapers in the Caribbean and North America, including the Nassau Guardian, South Florida Caribbean News, and the Trinidad Guardian.

Café Au Lait, her first novel, was followed by Give Me the Night, the first in her Night Eyes series. Heat of the Night and Night Fever will follow, and the novella Driving Karina is scheduled for release soon. Spicer has also published short stories and novellas in several genres under a variety of pen names. A memoir and a mainstream novel are in the works.

When she is not reading, writing or blogging Spicer devotes her energies to strenuous, physically challenging pursuits such as Internet surfing, daydreaming and observing the natural world. She’s at home on Wordtryst, her writing blog, and on Novel Spaces, a group blog which she coordinated, along with author Kevin Killiany, for a decade. She may be contacted via Facebook or Twitter (@LianeSpicer1).
