What type of writer should you be?

Meme stolen from Karen, whom I just discovered is from Yorkshire. Remember those James Herriot books, anyone? I have about five on my bookshelf, all well read and re-read.

ou Should Be a Film Writer

You don't just create compelling stories, you see them as clearly as a movie in your mind.

You have a knack for details and dialogue. You can really make a character come to life.

Chances are, you enjoy creating all types of stories. The joy is in the storytelling.

And nothing would please you more than millions of people seeing your story on the big screen!

I guess my movie fantasy is out. I'll take comfort from the fact that most of us have the same grandiose visions for our stories.

Apparently I am meant to be a poet. Only I am pretty certain my poetry is crap.

Wordtryst, I'm so glad to hear it's getting some right!

Dear god, it told me Sci Fi. It told me people often wonder what planet I'm from? I tell you, I'm affronted.

Yes, Love Herriot to bits. But sci fi is the only genre I've never read and never will!

I'm meant to be ... wait for it ... a science-fiction writer! Bwahahahahaha. Oh well, at least I'm being consistent with my life.

I think your blog is really interesting and would be perfect for blog4reel.com - the first ever blog-to-film competition. It is free! - Kimberly (co-creator)

I'm a Joke writer.

Even though I say, almost daily --"...wouldn't that make a great SNL skit?" and I have one idea involving a toothbrush and a microwave that would make for a great Stephen King type novel...
I want your profile -- I have the soundtrack for the movie and everything.

They tell me I Should Be a Joke Writer

Funny (not ha ha funny) I write romance, and I'm working on mainstream women's fiction and a romantic suspense right now.

But there are at least two comedies on the back burner!

Pacha, I haven't seen your poetry, but I enjoy what I've seen of your writing on the blog.

JJ, I'm not much into sci-fi either, although I'll read any genre if it's a good story.

Kaz, so it got yours right too!

Lane, I loved Herriott so much I wanted to marry Siegfried's brother! Tristan I think his name was.

Chennette, with just five questions it's a wonder any of the results turned out right!

Anti-wife, let's shake up that Hollywood town some.

akalol, my sympathies. Joker indeed. You? :)

blog4real, thanks for dropping by!

Kim, you're way ahead of me. I haven't a single track, though the cast is pretty much - well - cast. And you can write comedy movies!

Debs, romance indeed. Surprise! :)

Chumplet, they're ahead of you all right.
