Book Giveaway #4: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams

The lovely Lane who blogs over at Lane's Write is the winner of last week's title, Wifey by Judy Blume. Congrats, Lane! Hope you don't have another encounter with crazies when you go to collect your package at the post office. Remember, avoiding eye contact is the key!

And now for #4: The NYT bestselling The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. Good condition. 2005 mass market edition. I have to admit, it's hard letting this one go!

The winner will be announced next Thursday when title #5 is posted. Good luck!

Put me down for this 2005 edition - hardly ever opened, and read even less. Will laugh until you forget what the laughter was about. Will cry when the laughter is not enough. Will read and read again, once the 2005 vintage pages hold up.

akalol, I knew you'd like this one. Didn't you read everything by Adams already? Don't panic! You're in the box! :)

I haven't read this, but my son assures me it's brilliant. So please put my name in the hat.

Thanks Liane! I will not make eye contact. I will not make eye contact:-)

I've never read this before! I'd love to try and win it. One of my friends has told me sooo much about it you have no idea. She LOVES it because it's so darn hilarious. I just never got around to reading it... hehe

Debs, you're in. Your son is right. "Inspired lunacy" (Washington Post Book World) describes it perfectly.

Lane, you're welcome! Back in the box you go!

Robin_titan, it is very funny indeed. Top notch satire!

I haven't received that book I won yet Liane. Should I be worried?!!!

Liane Spicer said...

Not yet, Flowerpot. It takes 2-3 weeks (remember, I'm in the Caribbean), so give it another week or two. If you don't get it by the end of the month let me know.
