Books for Writers

I've added my favourite books on writing to the sidebar, as well as some that I haven't read yet but which come highly recommended and are languishing on my 'to buy' list. If anyone knows of any others that have been particularly helpful, please mention them in the comments and I'll add them to the list.

Hi, Thanks for stopping by my blog! Come by often!
And yes, I agree... AC is nice in a cabin in locales where it's hot!

As for books on writing, there's a really odd one that I like. A Lover's Quarrel: On Writing & The Writing Life by Thomas Farber.

He doesn't talk about punctuation, rather he talks about the perceptions that writers arrive at about their lives, or how it influences things that they do.

Nice collection, but I have only read On Writing - Stephen King

I would add Eats, Shoots and Leaves - Lynne Truss (I hope I got the punctuation right)and On Writing Well - William K. Zinsser

Great! I've put up a small excerpt a Farber's on my blog. It was apropos, being that a good friend just got a slamming review on a project! Keeping Faith: On Criticsm

I've got several that I could recommend. I just finished reading The Writer's Journey by Christopher Vogler which was really insightful.
